Natasha Jansz 39th Annual Lorne Genome Conference 2018

Natasha Jansz

Natasha completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne in 2012. In her final year, Natasha took part in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program in the Walsh Lab at St Vincent's identifying gene expression changes in mouse models of osteoarthritis. In 2013, she joined the Blewitt Lab at WEHI for Honours to work on characterising the epigenetic modifier, Smchd1. Following honours, Natasha commenced a PhD in the Blewitt lab, continuing to work on Smchd1, uncovering the molecular mechanisms by which it regulates transcription, as well as screening for novel epigenetic modifiers involved in X chromosome inactivation. In addition to her PhD, Natasha has been a teaching assistant on the Epigenetic Control of Gene Expression online course on Coursera since 2014.
