Qian Du
Qian Du is a 4th year PhD student with Prof. Sue Clark and Dr. Clare Stirzaker in the Epigenetics Lab, Genomics and Epigenomics Division, Garvan Institute of Medical Research. She completed her Bachelors of Science at the University of Melbourne, where she did her honours studying models of colorectal cancer in zebrafish. She then moved to Sydney to work as an RA in the Clark lab, during which time she worked on the 5-methylcytosine reader MBD2. She then started her PhD studying the relationship between DNA methylation, DNA replication and epigenomic changes between normal and cancer cells.
